I recently made a video titled "Stop Counting Reps" that emphasized the importance of taking a temporary break from rep counting. It performed great and the #1 comment I received on that video by far was, "how do you stop counting?" I totally understand. It's not easy to stop counting, especially after years (even decades) spent counting your reps. So I made this video to share some tips on how to do that. There are actually several methods I used to not count. Some of these involved shifting my focus from counting to other things, like music, which may seem counterproductive since the whole idea is to improve the mind-muscle connection, but it still works. Even when you're moving to music or changing up your tempo and other things, you'll notice you shift more focus to your form and technique simply because you're finally doing something different than the norm. I hope you enjoy the video! Oh, and my apologies for the dark background. I didn't realize the lights were still off until I was done filming! 😂 CHAPTERS: 00:00 Intro 00:53 Tip #1 - Mindset 02:07 Tip #2 - Record Yourself 02:47 Tip #3 - Use Music 03:50 Tip #4 - Change Up the Tempo 04:55 Tip #5 - Use Hybrid Exercises 05:58 Not Counting Summary 06:50 Thanks for Watching! ★ MY WORKOUT APP: bit.ly/3qtIUv9 ★ SNAP SUPPLEMENTS: Use MINUS20 for 20% OFF store-wide bit.ly/3rD9Nyv ★ Stalk me: Instagram: instagram.com/minusthegym Facebook: facebook.com/minusthegym ★ Music by artlist.io
